if i did not appreciate the rolling thunder revue crew before, it was only because i had been unable to find the right opportunity to indulge in their work. and i am so thankful i am doing now, with the kindest and brightest spirit guiding me all the way from the 30s until the 80s. it was bob dylan’s turn a few months ago, patti smith way before him and now joni mitchell is in the spotlight.

everyone is lost but not all of us are lost enough to realize it. the road often seems nothing but a trajectory while for others is only the destination. the desertic beauty is something i have learned to love. we both survive on abundance and then sudden droughts. and when there is nothing but our lostness and the desert we get my favorite joni mitchell album.
